Private Jets brings efficient speed to fleet with addition of aircraft

Oklahoma-based company adds Socata TBM-850 to fleet

BETHANY (March 30, 2017) – Oklahoma-based air charter company Private Jets Inc. is providing its customers with a more efficient way to zip around the country with the addition of a new aircraft to its fleet.

Company officials announced they have obtained the certificate for a 2007 Socata TBM-850. The turbo-prop is considered the fastest single-engine airplane in production, officials said. It will be based at Private Jets headquarters at Wiley Post Airport in Bethany.

“This aircraft adds some nice flexibility to our fleet,” said Eric Wells, president and chief operating officer of Private Jets. “It’s great for customers who want to get to their destination quickly while saving money on fuel costs.”

With room for two crew and four passengers, the TBM-850 is one of the smaller airplanes in the Private Jets fleet. However, it doesn’t hold back on speed. Wells said the aircraft can typically complete a 500-mile trip just as quickly as some larger jets, but while using only half the fuel.

The TBM-850 features music jacks and USB ports in the cabin, and an ample baggage compartment.

“It’s a great aircraft for the corporate traveler who may need to fly only a small number of executives, but wants to watch the bottom line and save on fueling expenses,” Wells said.

The TBM-850 is the 16th aircraft in Private Jets current fleet.

Private Jets aircraft range in size from those seating three passengers and suitable for quick flights to regional destinations, to jets with room for nine and international capabilities.

The company aims to serve clients interested in business, leisure or emergency travel, and also offers empty-leg flights for travelers with more flexible schedules. Jets are available for charter 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

Private Jets opens new base in Austin, Texas

Oklahoma-based company now flies out of six locations spread over Oklahoma, Texas and Florida

BETHANY, Oklahoma (March 21, 2017) – Oklahoma-based air charter company Private Jets Inc. today announced the addition of a new base of operations in Austin, Texas, giving the company six bases spread over three states.

Private Jets, which is headquartered at its home base at Wiley Post Airport in Bethany, is now offering flights out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport; its jets will be based out of the Atlantic Aviation hangar at the airport.

“We certainly see Austin as a growth market,” said Eric Wells, president and director of operations for Private Jets. “As we analyzed the deployment of our fleet, it made sense to have wheels on the ground in that market. It allows us to better serve the customer.”

The move expands Private Jets’ footprint in south-central Texas. The Austin deployment gives the company three locations in the Lone Star State, following bases in San Antonio and Sugar Land.

Establishing bases in multiple cities allows customers to save money by booking travel on jets already located in their city, Wells said. The costs associated with moving a jet to a different airport to pick up a passenger – known as repositioning fees – are generally added to the overall trip cost that must be paid by a customer.

“Passengers can realize a significant cost-savings by booking flights on jets that are in-town,” Wells said. “Depending on the type of aircraft and the nature of the trip, that savings could be anywhere from 10 to 20 percent of the total cost of the trip.”

The Austin expansion marks the second new base added by Private Jets in 2017. Earlier this year, the company added a base at Northeast Florida Regional Airport in St. Augustine. That gives Private Jets two Florida bases; the first was established in Naples, Florida, in 2000.

BETHANY, OK – One of the state’s leading private air charter service providers is featured in a national video case study that showcases the company’s work with an Oklahoma nonprofit.

The video, produced by telecommunications company Vonage, features Oklahoma’s Private Jets Inc., which is based at Wiley Post Airport in Bethany.

The video demonstrates how Private Jets uses Vonage service to facilitate its day-to-day business, including booking flights and communication between staff members.

The production, which was filmed at Wiley Post in September by Los Angeles-based production company Small Ax, features Private Jets staff exclusively. The finished video case study is to be posted on the Vonage website and its social media channels.
The production also highlights the nonprofit LifeShare Oklahoma, which helps promote awareness for organ donation in Oklahoma and works with the state’s organ transplant centers to facilitate donations.

The video showcases how Private Jets utilizes its resources to deliver an organ to an airport in Boston, and shines a spotlight on the long relationship between the charter company and LifeShare.

Private Jets has been LifeShare’s preferred air charter provider for more than four years, and has flown approximately 175 organ donation flights in that time. In that role, Private Jets delivers life-saving organs around the country, and typically has a jet and crew on stand-by around the clock in case an organ needs to be transported to a recipient.

Private Jets President Eric Wells said his company was excited to be featured in the case study, “but we’re even more thrilled that LifeShare Oklahoma can be featured.
“LifeShare does fantastic work spreading the word about the need for organ donations. Their work really does save lives.”
