E-Z
ON Power Systems of Oklahoma City announces
its “Totally Green” GPU (Ground Power Unit).
CEO Happy Wells spoke of the company’s philosophy
in the development of this product.
“We are providing a service necessary in
the aircraft industry, for either maintenance
activities or in preparing for departure.”
“With our unit, we realized the ease of
maintenance is critical. We are firmly committed
to the idea that routine maintenance should
be easily accomplished with little effort
and expenditure.”
Our GPU can operate over 4.5 hours on battery
power alone, and fully recharge in two hours.
If the charging system is plugged in, it
can provide service indefinitely. Standard
unit contains a 9 battery system. A 12 and
15 battery system is also available for
greater capacity and longevity between charges.
A power outlet and a lighted control panel
also come standard. It maneuvers well with
easy towing on the ramp or use the convenient
handles to move it by hand. Any repair or
maintenance parts are readily available.
E-Z On also maintains APUs (Auxiliary Power
Units) used in the trucking industry. This
APU addresses the need for Air Conditioning,
Heating and electrical service necessary
as an alternative to idling, thus saving
the owner of the truck thousands of dollars
in fuel expense. All operations are controlled
from inside the sleeper with no connection
needed to truck A/C or heating systems.
Both systems are ecological, economical
and very cost efficient.
